we opened at central market.

for two years, our bingsu meant a drive to cheras. on 28 august that changed: a counter inside slayra foodcourt at central market, the blue art-deco market on jalan hang kasturi, two minutes on foot from pasar seni lrt and mrt, beside chinatown.

why central market.

it is one of kuala lumpur's most recognisable landmarks and among its most visited. locals pass through it, visitors linger in it, and it is busy all day. a fruit bingsu in the middle of that made sense: cold, fresh, shareable, and easy to enjoy at a foodcourt table between the art stalls and the museum crowd.

what's different from cheras.

the menu is more focused: nine bingsu (queen delight mangosteen, pearl of snow longan, sunlit frost mango, berry blush strawberry, shine muscat jewel, coriander, oolong cloud, matcha cloud, and a tiramisu bingsu you can only get here), hong-kong-style smiley egg puffs, buttered rice cake, five croffles and a brownie. no smoothies or jasmine teas; those remain at cheras. hours are 10am to 9:30pm, seven days a week. it is walk-in only; online mangosteen reservation remains a cheras service. all central market prices include 6% sst.

how to find the counter.

enter central market from jalan hang kasturi, head for slayra foodcourt, and look for lot m11 and the yellow signage. if you are driving, there is a car park at the central market entrance (rates vary); the lrt or mrt is the easier option.
